 After a few rainy days, the weather was finally ok again on our last day here. This time we planned on doing a walk around weisssee, at alpine level of about 2600 meters. For this we needed to take a ski lift at Enzingerboden. Only to find out that the ski lift isn't operational until the start of the summer season at 13 june... Yes that's right today is the 12th. Fortunately we decided to have a coffee at Paletti Gasthof before returning.

Yesterday was a rainy day here in Kaprun. We ended up doing what vacations are for... doing nothing.

Yesterday we visited the Hochalpenstrasse, the most famous road in the Alps. It is located in the national park 'Hohe Tauern' or 'high towers' with over 30 peaks reaching over 3000m. Including the highest mountain of Austria, the Grossglockner (3728m)

I was spending a few days in Austria in the village Kaprun.  In winter Kaprun is one of the wintersport areas of Austria so I am surrounded by ski pistes and pensions. But in summer...

Today I enjoyed one of the province of Utrecht walking paths. A truly magnificent piece of the Netherlands in Scherpenzeel Dashorsterpad.
